REYNOLDS Family Hub in Cleethorpes has had almost two-thousand people through it’s doors during April and May, figures have revealed.
The Family Hubs offer support for local children, young people and their families, offering advice and guidance for new parents and activity groups for toddlers and young children.
Speaking about the surge in visitors, North East Lincolnshire Council’s Children’s Services Director, Ann-Marie Matson, said that it’s great to see families using the Hubs for support.
“I’m thrilled to see that these family hubs are really being supported by their communities, and that they’re being used for the right purpose – to support our children, young people, and their families.
“For the first time since reopening after COVID, Reynolds managed to achieve more than a hundred visitors in a single day during May. This is a fantastic achievement and is testament to the work our staff are doing in the community, from registering the birth of a newborn baby to checking the weight and health of toddlers and supporting new mums and dads through some of the challenges of parenting. They’re doing a great job.
“There are some parents out there that haven’t yet visited their local Family Hub. I would urge them to do so because there’s lots of support on offer, and they’re great places to meet other new parents.”
There are seven Family Hubs around North East Lincolnshire, open Monday to Friday from 08:30am to 4:30pm. Families can drop in for support or book on to an activity session.
Since January, registrars have hosted appointments for parents to register the birth of their new baby.
