General

Road testing works will take place later this month at the A18 and Waltham Road junction as the road safety improvement scheme’s plan for a new roundabout continues.

Testing takes place on Monday 30 November, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, and will take one day to complete.

During the works, temporary three-way traffic lights will be in operation to ensure the safety of the workforce.

The works are required to identify the depth and position of utility infrastructure as part of the ongoing detailed design works for the roundabout construction planned to start in early 2021.

The works will be managed and overseen by the council’s regeneration partner, ENGIE, with contractor, CR Reynolds, completing the works.

More details about the roundabout construction as part of the phase four improvements will be released in December.
