New traffic management is coming into place on Sea Road in Cleethorpes to connect drainage from the site to the main sewers.
These are the works that were postponed from the summer, but are now critical to the progress of the building.
From 2 November (to avoid the half term) access to the Central Prom will only be from Sea Road, and traffic will be one way from the Pier to Brighton Slipway.
The bus stop on the “down” side of Sea Road is being suspended. Passengers should follow instructions from Stagecoach as to which stops to use.
There will be changes to the traffic management on site while the water connection is being completed. Pedestrians and vehicles should follow the signage on site, which will include closure of the zebra crossing at the Pier, and relocating it approximately 50m to the south, opposite King Pin.
Once the connection is done, the Central Prom will reopen to traffic as normal. Access to all businesses will be maintained at all times.
The whole project is due to run into mid 2027, and will host new toilet facilities for the resort, including a Changing Places facility, as well as a food and drink operator.
