People living in North East Lincolnshire are being encouraged to share their views and experiences of services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
The annual SEND survey helps to inform the Council of local needs, as well as how well services are performing, and how they can improve to meet the needs of young people and their families.
Councillor Margaret Cracknell, portfolio holder for children and education at North East Lincolnshire Council, explained:
“We know that, whilst many children and young people with additional don’t require much support, there are lots of families that make good use of our services and those services offered by organisations in the local community.
“It’s important that we get that support right, and that it’s of good quality and convenient for families. It’s absolutely our aim to create the conditions for every child and young person in our area to thrive.
“That’s why we’re seeking the views of people in our area. I would encourage parents and carers of children with additional needs to take part and give us their views.
“Children and young people themselves can also take part, and we really value those views especially.”
