Is there enough childcare in North East Lincolnshire? Does it meet your needs? If you’re choosing not to use childcare for your children, why is that?
These are just some of the questions that North East Lincolnshire Council is seeking parents to answer as part of an annual consultation into the provision of childcare in the area.
By surveying local parents, the Council can get a picture of the childcare needs, and this includes funded provision for under 4s and wraparound childcare provision for primary aged children.
The survey also seeks to understand what the barriers are to local parents accessing and using childcare.
Councillor Samuel Grice, deputy leader of North East Lincolnshire Council and portfolio holder for children and education, explained:
“This is an annual survey that the Council carries out to understand where the gaps are in childcare locally.
“We will use the results of this survey to inform the planning for new childcare provision in the future, so it’s important that local parents have their say.”

The survey will run until 31st August 2026. The results will be published in the autumn on the Council’s website.
