Nearly £8million support funding is being rolled out to local businesses in North East Lincolnshire this week to help support them through the lockdown.

Government has released a number of support schemes over the last few months, with different payments applicable to different businesses, primarily SMEs in the retail, leisure and hospitality sectors who have been most affected.

Eligible businesses who completed a local authority application form during the November national lockdown WILL NOT NEED to make a new application for any grants.

Businesses who did not make a grant application during the November national lockdown, who consider themselves to be eligible for current grants are advised to read the guidance and then complete the application form.

Cllr Philip Jackson, Leader of North East Lincolnshire Council, said: “It’s important that we continue to do everything we can to support our local economy. We are issuing these grants as quickly as we can to get money into the hands of those businesses that have been severely affected.”

If you think you may be eligible for a grant and haven’t yet applied, please visit the North East Lincolnshire Council website and check the criteria.
