Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14(1) AS AMENDED TEMPORARY Footpath CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH 5, GRIMSBY AND PUBLIC FOOTPATH 70, Waltham

(NOTICE OF TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER  2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council have made an Order, provisions of Section 14 (2) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following Public Footpaths:

  • Public Footpath 5, Grimsby between the highway known as Rivan Grove, Grimsby, Ordnance Survey Grid Reference TA526218, 405042 and Public Footpath 70, Waltham at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference TA526196, 404992.
  • Public Footpath 70, Waltham between Public Footpath 5, Grimsby Ordnance Survey Grid Reference TA526196, 404992 and the highway known as Fairway, Waltham at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference TA526116, 404380.

The reason for the closure is required to avoid danger to persons using the path while works are undertaken upon it due to the requirements set out in planning approval DM/0285/22/FUL for a new residential site of 64 properties off Torbay Drive, Scartho.

The closure will re-commence at 07.00hrs on Monday 1st January 2025 until 07.00hrs on 1st July 2025. The extension of the closure has been permitted with the consent of the Secretary of State.
