Temporary Footpath Closure – Public Footpath 66, Waltham

THE NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL
TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE
(WALTHAM PUBLIC FOOTPATH 66) ORDER 2026

WHEREAS the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), the Highway Authority for the above-mentioned path in the Borough of North East Lincolnshire, is satisfied that access should be prohibited on the said path by reason to avoid danger to persons using the path due to works taking place along it.

NOW THEREFORE the Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all powers them enabling in that behalf hereby make the following Order:-

1. No person shall proceed along Public Footpath 66, Waltham details as follows: Public Footpath 66 at Waltham between the highway known as Skinners Lane, Waltham at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference TA526427, 403771 and Ordnance Survey Grid Reference TA526470, 4036778 at the highway known as Grove Lane, Waltham.
2. The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply in the interpretation of the Order as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
3. The Order will come into operation on the 9th September 2026 and shall continue in force for a period of six months then the Order ceases to operate unless extended by Order of the Secretary of State for Transport or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier).
4. The dates and times above are correct at the point of signing however should weather or any other conditions impact the works they will go ahead when it is safe to do so.
5. The Order may be cited as “The North East Lincolnshire Borough Council Temporary Path Closure (Waltham Public Footpath 66) Order 2026.
