THE NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)(a)

CHRISTMAS LIGHT ILLUMINATIONS ERECTION & REMOVAL – B1374 ST PETERS AVENUE (CLEETHORPES) & B1213 FREEMAN STREET (GRIMSBY)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRO 22-121) ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council have made, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway, during the dates and times given below:

INSTALLATION: Monday 17th October 2022 to Wednesday 19th October 2022 (00:00hrs to 06:00hrs daily)

REMOVAL: Monday 09th January 2023 to Wednesday 11th January 2023 (00:00hrs to 06:00hrs daily)

  • A section of FREEMAN STREET – Part Length from its junction with HAINTON SQUARE to its junction with NELSON STREET.

Works will be phased across 4 sections to minimise disruption to traffic.

Alternative route 1: ELEANOR STREET, VICTOR STREET, WELLINGTON STREET

Alternative route 2: WELLINGTON STREET, VICTOR STREET, CONVAMORE ROAD, PASTURE STREET, B1219 HAINTON AVENUE

Alternative route 3: A180 CLEETHORPE ROAD, VICTOR STREET, WELLINGTON STREET

Alternative route 4: RAILWAY STREET, RIBY STREET, HUMBER STREET, A180 CLEETHORPE ROAD

INSTALLATION: Thursday 20th October 2022 to Friday 21st October 2022 (00:00hrs to 06:00hrs daily)

REMOVAL: Wednesday 11th January 2023 to Friday 13th January 2023 (00:00hrs to 06:00hrs daily)

  • A section of ST PETERS AVENUE – Part Length from its junction with A1098 ISAACS HILL / HIGH STREET to its junction with ALBERT ROAD.

Alternative route: A1098 HIGH STREET, A1098 ALEXANDRA ROAD, KNOLL STREET, CAMBRDIGE STREET, ST PETERS AVENUE

This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by J.McCann & Co. Ltd on behalf of North East Lincolnshire Council.  These works are detailed as the installation and subsequent removal of Christmas illuminations.

The Order will come into operation on Monday, 17 October 2022, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until Friday, 13 January 2023.  Definitive dates and times will be notified by on-site advanced warning signs.

The dates and times above are correct at the point of print however implementation on site may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. Diversion routes will be signposted and published online on One Network and Public notices.
