THE NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)(a)

FAIRFIELD ROAD, SCARTHO

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRO 22-180) ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:

  • A section of FAIRFIELD ROAD – Part Length from its junction with BULWICK AVENUE to a point 75 metres south-west of its junction with BULWICK AVENUE.

Alternative route: FAIRFIELD ROAD, B1203 WALTHAM ROAD, SPRINGFIELD ROAD, LAVENHAM ROAD, CONISTON AVENUE, THIRLMERE AVENUE (reverse route applies)

This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by Freedom Group.  These works are detailed as the use of a crane in the carriageway to deliver and subsequent recovery of electrical equipment to / from the adjacent substation.

An initial road closure will take place on Tuesday 14th March 2023 for the delivery of the equipment, once complete the road will be reopened. A further road closure will then be implemented on Friday 17th March 2023 to enable the equipment to be retrieved. Both closures are expected to take place between the hours of 8am and 4pm.

The Order will come into operation on Tuesday, 14 March 2023, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until 4pm on Friday, 17 March 2023.  Definitive dates and times will be notified by on-site advanced warning signs.

he dates and times above are correct at the point of print however implementation on site may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. Diversion routes will be signposted and published online on One Network and Public notices.
