Temporary Prohibition of Traffic (26-182) Grimsby Town Hall Public Car Park and Footway, Grimsby 30th September 2026

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)(a) ​​GRIMSBY TOWN HALL PUBLIC CARPARK AND FOOTWAY, GRIMSBY
(VARIOUS RESTRICTIONS) TTRO ​26-182 ORDER ​2026​

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be:

To temporarily suspend the “1 Hour limited waiting –  8am – 6pm, no return within 1 hour” restrictions at the following locations;

• GRIMSBY TOWN HALL PUBLIC CAR PARK   – the car parking spaces on the WESTERN kerb line, from a point 8 metres from its junction with TOWN HALL SQUARE, in SOUTHERLY  direction, for a distance of 30 metres.                        

No person shall cause or permit any pedestrian or cycle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway

• GRIMSBY TOWN HALL PUBLIC CAR PARK WESTERN FOOTWAY – Part length from its junction with TOWN HALL SQUARE, in a SOUTHERLY direction, for a distance of 30 metres

Alternative Route: Unavailable.

This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by Asbestos Solution Providers. These works are detailed as Heras Fencing.

The order will come into operation on Friday 09^th October 2026, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until Friday, 09 October 2026. Definitive dates and times will be notified with on-site advanced warning signs.

The dates and times above are correct at the point of print however implementation on site may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. Diversion routes will be signposted and published online on One Network and Public notices.
