ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(2) DONNINGTON STREET, GRIMSBY
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRO 23-086E) EMERGENCY NOTICE 2023
WHEREAS the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 hereby make the following Emergency Notice the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:
- DONNINGTON STREET (FULL EXTENT) – from the junction of SIXHILLS STREET
heading in a southerly direction to the junction of ROPERY STREET - ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Ladysmith Road, Sixhills Streets, Convamore Road, Ropery
Street.
This emergency prohibition is required in order for works to be safely undertaken to repair of a burst
water main pipe.
The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply in the interpretation of the Notice as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
The Notice shall come into operation on Monday, 29 May 2023 and shall continue for a period of 21 days unless extended by Order of the Secretary of State for Transport. The closure is expected to remain in place until Friday 5 June 2023.
