ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(2) ARMSTRONG STREET, GRIMSBY (PART)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRO 23-083E)
EMERGENCY NOTICE 2023
WHEREAS the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 hereby make the following Emergency Notice the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:
- ARMSTRONG STREET (PART) – from the junction of CHARLTON STREET heading
in a westerly direction to the junction of ARMSTRONG PLACE – a distance of 60
metres. - ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Armstrong Street, Pyewipe Road, Corporation Road,
Charlton Street
This emergency prohibition is required in order for works to be safely undertaken to repair a gas leak.
The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply in the interpretation of the Notice as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
The Notice shall come into operation on Tuesday, 30 May 2023 and shall continue for a period of 21 days unless extended by Order of the Secretary of State for Transport. The closure is expected to remain in place until Friday 2 June 2023.
