THE NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

HENRY STREET, EARL STREET, RIPON STREET AND CARTERGATE, GRIMSBY
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRO 20-085A) ORDER 2020

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from proceeding along the below sections of highway:

  • A Section of RIPON STREET – from its junction with LORD STREET in a North Easterly direction for a distance of 25 metres) – Alternative route: RIPON STREET, DOVER STREET, EARL STREET, LORD STREET
  • A Section of RIPON STREET – from its junction with LORD STREET in a Southerly direction for a distance of 25 metres) – Alternative route: RIPON STREET, EARL STREET, CHANTRY LANE
  • A Section of CARTERGATE – from it’s a point 15 metres north east from the northern kerbline of CRESCENT STREET in a North Easterly direction for a distance of 75 metres to its junction with LORD STREET- Alternative route: CARTERGATE, A1136 FREDERICK WARD WAY, A1136 DUDLEY STREET, A1136 CROMWELL ROAD, BOULEVARD AVENUE, LORD STREET
  • A Section of EARL STREET – from its junction with LORD STREET in a Northerly direction for a distance of 25 metres) – Alternative route: EARL STREET (north), DOVER STREET, RIPON STREET, LORD STREET
  • A Section of EARL STREET – from its junction with LORD STREET in a Southerly direction for a distance of 25 metres)- Alternative route: EARL STREET (south), CHANTRY LANE, RIPON STREET, LORD STREET
  • A Section of HENRY STREET – from its junction with LORD STREET in a North Easterly direction for a distance of 25 metres) – Alternative route: LORD STREET, JAMES STREET (north), HAVEN AVENUE, HENRY STREET
  • A Section of HENRY STREET – from its junction with LORD STREET in a South Westerly direction for a distance of 25 metres) – Alternative route: LORD STREET, JAMES STREET (south), LISTER STREET, HENRY STREET

These temporary prohibitions are required in order to safely facilitate carriageway patching works.

The Order will come into operation on Monday, 13 July 2020, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closures are expected to remain in place until Wednesday, 05 August 2020.
