ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (SPECIAL EVENTS) – SECTION 16A
ARMED FORCES WEEKEND 2022 (INCLUDING CARNIVAL), CLEETHORPES
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & TEMPORARY REVOCATION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC FLOW – TTRO 22-053B) ORDER 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be that:
a) no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle to PROCEED along the sections of highway detailed in Schedule 1:1 (‘ROAD CLOSURES’) below, during the dates and times specified.
The above temporary prohibitions are required to ensure safe facilitation of, and emergency access during the Armed Forces Weekend. Exemptions will be for authorised vehicles only.
Alternative route for diverted traffic – B1374 ST PETERS AVENUE, OXFORD STREET, A1098 QUEENS PARADE (REVERSE ROUTE APPLIES)
b) the one-way traffic flow (north-easterly direction) is temporarily revoked along the section of highway detailed in Schedule 1:2 (‘TEMPORARY REVOCATION OF ONE-WAY’) below, during the dates and times specified.
The above temporary revocation is required to enable resident access / egress during the Armed Forces Weekend.
The Order will come into operation on Friday, 24 June 2022, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding three days unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the event (whichever is the earlier). The temporary road closures and revocation of one-way restriction are expected to conclude on Sunday, 26 June 2022. Definitive dates and times will be notified by on-site advanced warning signs.
The dates and times above are correct at the point of print however implementation on site may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. Diversion routes will be signposted and published online on One Network and Public notices.

Lengths of road to be closed from 06:00hrs on Friday 24th June until 23:00hrs on Sunday 26th June 2022:
- A1098 ALEXANDRA ROAD – part length, from its roundabout junction with SEA ROAD / MARKET STREET to its roundabout junction with A1098 HIGH CLIFF ROAD / SEA VIEW STREET.
- A1098 HIGH CLIFF ROAD – full extent, from its roundabout junction with A1098 ALEXANDRA ROAD / SEA VIEW STREET to its junction with BRIGHTON STREET.
- DOLPHIN STREET – from its junction with A1098 ALEXANDRA ROAD in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 54 metres.

SCHEDULE 1:2 – ‘TEMPORARY REVOCATION OF ONE-WAY’
Lengths of road to temporarily operate a two-way traffic flow from 06:00hrs on Friday 24th June until 23:00hrs on Sunday 26th June 2022:
- ALBERT ROAD – from a point 35 metres south-west of its junction with A1098 ALEXANDRA ROAD to its junction with B1374 ST PETERS AVENUE.
