THE NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (SPECIAL EVENTS) – SECTION 16A

PLATINUM JUBILLE STREET PARTY ROAD CLOSURES – ADDITIONAL LOCATIONS

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRO 22-034G) ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle, from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:

  • ENFIELD AVENUE, NEW WALTHAM – Part length, from its junction with B1219 STATION ROAD to its junction with BRUNTON WAY

Alternative route: ENFIELD AVENUE, BRUNTON WAY,STATION AVENUE, B1219 STATION ROAD

  • GROVE LANE, WALTHAM – full extent, from its junction with INGS LANE to its junction with CHEAPSIDE

Alternative route: INGS LANE, SKINNERS LANE, CHEAPSIDE

  • HILYARD STREET, GRIMSBY – Part length, from its junction with STANLEY STREET to its junction with RUTLAND STREET.

Alternative route: RUTLAND STREET, OXFORD STREET, STANLEY STREET

  • CLARENDON ROAD, GRIMSBY – full extent, from its junction with ST MICHAELS ROAD to its junction with SELBOURNE ROAD

Alternative route: ST MICHAELS ROAD, LONGFIELD ROAD, SELBOURNE ROAD

  • LABURNUM AVENUE, WALTHAM – full extent, from its junction with BARNOLDBY ROAD to its intersection with LABURNUM CLOSE

Alternative route: No diversion available

  • LABURNUM CLOSE, WALTHAM – full extent, from its intersection with LABURNUM AVENUE to the eastern extremity of LABURNUM CLOSE

Alternative route: No diversion available

  • TOLL BAR AVENUE, NEW WALTHAM – full extent, from its junction with B1219 STATION ROAD to the northern extremity of TOLL BAR AVENUE.

These temporary prohibitions are required to safely facilitate residential street parties in celebration of the Queens Platinum Jubilee.

The Order will come into operation on Friday, 03 June 2022, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding three days unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the events (whichever is the earlier). Each closure detailed above is expected to remain in place for no longer than 1 day. All closures are expected to complete by Sunday, 05 June 2022.
