VARIOUS LOCATIONS – SURFACE DRESSING PROGRAMME 2024
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC AND TTRO (24-091) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be:
a) that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highways below:
28th August 24
- GRAINSBY AVENUE – FULL EXTENT
- CLERKE STREET – FULL EXTENT
- JOHNSON STREET – FULL EXTENT
- BEACON COURT – FULL EXTENT
- ELLISTON STREET – Part length from the junction of A180 GRIMSBY ROAD heading in a south westerly direction to the junction of BRERETON AVENUE.
29th August 24
- RUTLAND STREET – Part length from the junction of HAMILTON STREET heading in a north easterly direction to the junction of A180 CLEETHORPE ROAD.
- STANLEY STREET – Part length from the junction of HAMILTON STREET heading in a north easterly direction to the junction of A180 CLEETHORPE ROAD.
- GRAFTON STREET – Part length from the junction of STANLEY STREET heading in a north westerly
- direction to the junction of HILDA STREET.
- COPE STREET – Part length from the junction of GUILDFORD STREET heading in a south westerly
- direction to the junction of WEELSBY STREET.
- MANSEL STREET – Part length from the junction of GRAFTON STREET Heading in a north easterly
- direction to the junction of HAMILTON STREET.

- MENDIP AVENUE – Part length from the junction of QUANTOCK ROAD heading in a south easterly direction to the junction of B1203 WALTHAM ROAD.
- FALLOWFIELD ROAD – Part length from the junction of SPRINGWOOD CRESCENT heading in a south easterly direction to the southern property boundary of 69 FALLOWFIELD ROAD.
1st September 24
- DUNCOMBE STREET – FULL EXTENT
- WOOD STREET – FULL EXTENT
- NEWMARKET STREET – FULL EXTENT
- GARIBALDI STREET – Part length from the junction of ALBION STREET heading in a north westerly direction to the junction of B1213 FREEMAN STREET.
The above temporary prohibitions are required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by North East Lincolnshire Council. These works are detailed as the highway maintenance scheme, surface dressing programme.
The Order will come into operation on Wednesday, 28 August 2024, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). Works will be phased as per the
dates provided above, with road closures expected to remain in place until Sunday, 1 September 2024. Definitive dates and times will be notified by on-site advanced warning signs.
The dates and times above are correct at the point of print however implementation on site may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. Diversion routes will be signposted and published online on One Network and Public notices.
