TOWN HALL STREET, GRIMSBY (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRO 24-133) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle, pedestrian or cycle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highways:
- TOWN HALL STREET (FULL EXTENT) from the junction of VICTORIA STREET WEST heading in a southerly direction to the junction of TOWN HALL SQUARE
Alternative route: A1136 Frederick Ward Way, Church Lane, Bethlehem Street, South St Mary’s Gate, Osbourne Street, Town Hall Square
- VICTORIA STREET SOUTH – Part length from the north easterly boundary of AA PHONE FIX heading in a south westerly direction to the junction of TOWN HALL STREET, for a distance of 100 metres, with controlled access off Frederick Ward Way.
Alternative route: A1136 Frederick Ward Way, Church Lane, Bethlehem Street, South St Mary’s Gate, Osbourne Street, Town Hall Square, East Street, Pasture Street, B1213 Hainton Avenue, Ellis Way
- PASTURE STREET – Part length between the junction of VICTORIA STREET WEST heading in an easterly direction to the junction of EAST STREET, with controlled access at East Street junction.
Alternative route: A1136 Frederick Ward Way, Church Lane, Bethlehem Street, South St Mary’s Gate, Osbourne Street, Town Hall Square, East Street
The reversal of the one way system on NEW STREET from a northerly direction to a southerly direction from VICTORIA STREET WEST to TOWN HALL SQUARE.
This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by NELC. These works are detailed as the NELC carriageway resurfacing scheme.
The Order will come into operation on Monday, 4 November 2024, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until Thursday, 7 November 2024. Definitive dates and times will be notified with on-site advanced warning signs.
The dates and times above are correct at the point of print however implementation on site may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. Diversion routes will be signposted and published online on One Network and Public notices.
