ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)(a)
MARKET HALL BUILDING, FRESHNEY PLACE, GRIMSBY (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRO (25-048) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council have made, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any pedestrian, motor vehicle or cycle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:
- REDHILL ROAD – Full extent of the service access road on the western boundary of the Market Hall building known as Redhill Road.
Service access to adjacent properties will be maintained throughout the closure.
- ACCESS RAMP ADJACENT TO FRESHNEY PLACE WEST CAR PARK- The
most southerly section of the access ramp immediately adjacent to the Market Hall building for a distance of 55 metres.
Two way traffic will still be maintained into Freshney Place service yard throughout the closure
This temporary prohibition is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road by GMI Construction Group. These works are detailed as works associated with refurbishment to Freshney Place shopping centre.
The Order will come into operation on Monday, 7 April 2025, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier).Definitive dates and times will be notified by on-site advanced warning signs
The dates and times above are correct at the point of print however implementation on site may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. Diversion routes will be signposted and published online on One Network and Public notices.
