General

Works to the highway at Toll Bar roundabout were completed this weekend, ahead of time, with resurfacing and lining. There are some minor elements to complete off the highway, but all roads are now open.

In the next few weeks, the site compound will be taken down, and minor repairs done to fencing as a result.

Cllr Stewart Swinburn, Cabinet member for highways, said: “I’d personally like to thank residents and businesses in the area for their patience. We’ve tried to keep people up to date with the project as it’s progressed, and as well as the help from the contractors, I’d like to thank Tollbar Academy and the Parish Councils for their assistance in getting information out far and wide throughout the project.

“I know this has been a long-standing project, and I’m sure, like me, many of you will be glad that it’s completed.

“The roundabout should now be able to cope with the predicted increased traffic in the area for a number of years to come.”

Work to Toll Bar roundabout was funded by the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership.
