General

Updates to the programme of works improving Toll Bar roundabout have been released by contractors.

Works to the footpath on the north east corner are continuing. Northern PowerGrid (NPG) is laying a new high voltage mains supply, work which will take 10 days longer than scheduled. The footpath work is due to be completed by next Friday (16 October).

South West corner (between Louth Road and Station Road): This will be closed for eight weeks from Monday 19 October to allow BT and Anglian Water to undertake statutory utility diversion works and for the footpath to be rebuilt. The A16 north into Grimsby will be reduced to one lane while this work is completed and a temporary bus stop and crossing located south of the works on the A16.

Works to the footpath between the roundabout and the bus stop on the A16 (North) will be completed during Tollbar Academy’s half term. A temporary bus stop and crossing will be put in place north of the works.

Station Road (East) towards New Waltham: road widening works on the south side will be taking place from 2 November for approximately four weeks.

During all the works, which remain on schedule, pedestrians, including school children walking to Tollbar Academy from New Waltham, will continue to be diverted around the works.

North East Lincolnshire Council and its regeneration partner ENGIE apologise for the inconvenience caused.
