ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(2) LADYSMITH ROAD, GRIMSBY (PART)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRO 23-064E)
EMERGENCY NOTICE 2023

WHEREAS the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), in exercise
of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 hereby make the following Emergency Notice the effect of which will be that
no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of
highway:

  • LADYSMITH (IN PART) – from the junction of COOPER ROAD heading in a south
    easterly direction to the junction of FAIRMONT ROAD 70 metres.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Ropery Street, Convamore Road, Granville Street, Ladysmith Road (Reverse Route Applies)

This emergency prohibition is required in order for works to be safely undertaken with emergency utility
repair and maintenance works.

The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply in the interpretation of the Notice as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

The Notice shall come into operation on Wednesday, 10 May 2023 and shall continue for a period of 21 days unless extended by Order of the Secretary of State for Transport. The closure is expected to remain in place until Tuesday 16 2023.
