(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC AND STOPPING & TEMPORARY REVERSAL / REMOVAL OF
ONE-WAY TRAFFIC FLOWS – TTRO 23-050) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council have made, an Order, the effect of which will be that on Sunday 04 June 2023:
a) no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle, from PROCEEDING along or STOPPING on the below sections of highway between 06:00hrs and 14:00hrs:
- DOUGHTY ROAD – full extent, from its junction with TOWN HALL SQUARE / OSBORNE STREET to its roundabout junction with ABBEY ROAD / AINSLIE STREET / GARDEN STREET
- EAST STREET – full extent, from its intersection with TOWN HALL SQUARE to its junction with PASTURE STREET.
- GEORGE STREET – full extent, from its junction with OSBORNE STREET to its junction with VICTORIA
STREET WEST (ACCESS FOR BUSES ONLY) - NEW STREET – full extent, from its junction with OSBORNE STREET / TOWN HALL SQUARE to its junction with VICTORIA STREET WEST.
- OSBORNE STREET – part length, from its junction with ABBEY WALK to its junction with NEW STREET
/ DOUGHTY ROAD (ACCESS FOR BUSES ONLY). - TOWN HALL SQUARE – full extent, from its intersection with EAST STREET to its junction with NEW
STREET / DOUGHTY ROAD / OSBORNE STREET. - TOWN HALL STREET – full extent, from its junction with VICTORIA STREET WEST to its junction with
TOWN HALL SQUARE / EAST STREET. - VICTORIA STREET SOUTH – full extent, from its junction with A1136 FREDERICK WARD WAY / ELLIS
WAY to its intersection with VICTORIA STREET WEST - VICTORIA STREET WEST – part length, from its junction with GEORGE STREET to its intersection with
VICTORIA STREET SOUTH (ACCESS FOR BUSES ONLY). - PASTURE STREET – part length, from its junction with VICTORIA STREET SOUTH to its junction with
EAST STREET.
b) the one-way traffic flow (easterly direction) is temporarily revoked along the below sections of highway
between 08:00hrs and 14:00hrs (traffic will be controlled by STOP & GO):
- WINTRINGHAM ROAD – part length from the western side of the PEAKS PARKWAY OVERBRIDGE to its junction with HAINTON AVENUE.
c) no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle, from PROCEEDING along or STOPPING on the below sections of highway between 08:00hrs and 14:00hrs (rolling road closures):
- A1098 HEWITTS AVENUE – part length, from its roundabout junction with A16 PEAKS PARKWAY / A16 LOW FARM ROUNABOUT to its junction with PEAKS LANE, NEW WALTHAM.
- A1243 BARGATE – part length, from its junction with BRIGHOWGATE up to and including the NUNS CORNER ROUNDABOUT junction with A1243 SCARTHO ROAD / A46 LACEBY ROAD.
- A1243 LOUTH ROAD – full extent, from its roundabout junction (SCARTHO FORK) with B12103
WALTHAM ROAD / A1243 SCARTHO ROAD to its roundabout junction (LOUTH ROAD ROUNDABOUT) with A16 LOUTH ROAD / BECKLANDS AVENUE / A16 - A1243 SCARTHO ROAD – full extent, from its roundabout junction (NUNS CORNER) with A1243
BARGATE / A46 LACEBY ROAD to its roundabout junction (SCARTHO FORK) with B1203 WALTHAM
ROAD / A1243 LOUTH ROAD. - MATTHEW TELFORD WAY – part length from the junction of A1243 SCARTHO ROAD heading in a
westerly direction to the junction of FERRIBY LANE. - A16 – part length, from its roundabout junction (LOUTH ROAD ROUNDABOUT) with A1243 LOUTH ROAD / BECKLANDS to its roundabout junction (LOW FARM ROUNDABOUT) with A16 PEAKS PARKWAY / A1098 HEWITTS AVENUE.
- A16 LOUTH ROAD – part length, from its roundabout junction (TOLLBAR ROUNDABOUT) with B1219
STATION ROAD / A16 LOUTH ROAD to its roundabout junction (LOUTH ROAD ROUNDABOUT) with
A1243 LOUTH ROAD/ A16 / BECKLANDS. - A16 PEAKS PARKWAY – part length, from its roundabout junction (LOW FARM ROUNDABOUT) with
A16 / A1098 HEWITTS AVENUE to a point 460 metres south of its junction with A1136 ELLIS WAY. - A46 WEELSBY ROAD – part length, from its junction with FAREBROTHER STREET to its junction with
B1213 HAINTON AVENUE. Traffic will be manually controlled and stopped when necessary to allow
runners to pass through the WEELSBY ROAD / PEAKS PARKWAY junction. - A46 WEELSBY ROAD – part length, from its junction with WELHOLME AVENUE to its junction with A1243 BARGATE
- ABBEY PARK ROAD – full extent, from its junction with ABBEY ROAD to its junction with B1212
WELHOLME ROAD - ABBEY ROAD – full extent, full extent from its roundabout junction with GARDEN STREET / DOUGHTY ROAD / AINSLIE STREET to its junction with A1243 BARGATE
- B1212 WELHOLME ROAD – part length, from its junction with A16 PEAKS PARKWAY to its junction
A1243 BARGATE. - PARK DRIVE – part length, from its junction with B1212 WELHOLME ROAD to its junction with PARK
AVENUE.
Adjoining streets may be affected for a short period of time whilst the race passes but will be reopened as soon as it is safe to do so.
The above temporary prohibitions are required to safely set up and facilitate the Orsted Great Grimsby 10km Run and St Hugh’s Family Fun Run events, being held by Tape 2 Tape.
The Order will come into operation on Sunday, 4 June 2023, and will continue in force for a period not
exceeding three days unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport, or until
completion of the event (whichever is the earlier). The closures are expected to remain in place until no later than 14:00hrs on Sunday, 4 June 2023. Definitive dates and times will be notified by on-site advanced warning signs.
