Grimsby & Cleethorpes Area Doorstep
What we do
This page explains the housing and support that we offer to young people, aged 16 to 25 years old, who are experiencing homelessness or poor housing in North East Lincolnshire.
We believe that seeing, encouraging and developing a person’s strengths is the best way to promote independence and prevent future homelessness.
Floating support
Floating support is what we offer to young people in their own homes or it comes as a part of the tenancy or licences in our supported housing. It is person-centred support delivered to prevent homelessness and you do not need to be living in one of our properties to receive it. Floating support is delivered by our asset coaches and is also known as housing related support (HRS).
Housing
We offer two types of housing: supported housing or general needs. Supported housing is designed for those young people who need extra help in managing a tenancy and are described as having support needs. Referrals for this housing come through the homeless prevention service at the local council.
While you are in this housing you will have an asset coach who will deliver the housing related support that you need. They work alongside you to develop your confidence, resilience and independence so that you can manage a tenancy on your own.
Tenancy sustainment
In-house support that deals with the day-to-day responsibilities of maintaining your tenancy.
Advice & guidance
Our free service available to all 16 to 25 year olds in the Grimsby and Cleethorpes area experiencing homelessness.

Floating Support Service
Floating support
This page explains floating support and how to access it. You may be living in your own home and finding it hard to manage the tenancy. You could be ready to find your own home but do not need a supported tenancy from Doorstep. These situations are best suited for floating support.
What is floating support?
How do I access floating support?
What is floating support?
Floating support is a service tailored to your individual housing needs and delivered by our asset coaches. It is designed to support you wherever you are living; whether you are in private rented, social housing, or yet to find the right housing for you. We can support you for up to 18 months or with a further extension of up to 2 years if needed.
If you’re having problems with your landlord, falling behind with bills and rent, struggling to stay connected with work and education, and feeling like all these pressures are making you at risk of losing your home, ask us about floating support.
How to access floating support
Currently, the only way to access our floating support is via the local homeless prevention service. The same form we use in an emergency is the same form we use to request supported housing OR floating support.
If you think you need a referral for floating support, get in touch with us today and ask for support in completing the form.

Lincolnshire Housing Partnership
Customer First
We put customers at the heart of our decision-making process and develop services that are built around their needs. This emphasis is felt by customers in every interaction with us, driving up our customer satisfaction and ensuring we invest our money where it has the greatest impact.
Listen, Act and Learn
We create a structured opportunity for stakeholders, staff and customers to provide feedback. We value this time and insight and use it to act and learn from it. Before investing in new and existing projects, we seek the views of those set to benefit.
About Us
Lincolnshire Housing Partnership (LHP) manages nearly 12,500 affordable rental and shared ownership homes and offers a range of other services to support people and communities across the historic east coast of Lincolnshire.
As a charitable community based organisation, we channel profit back into services and projects that benefit our customers and local neighbourhoods.
In early-2020 we launched our internal Culture Change Programme, The LHP Way, which means providing engagement and development opportunities, as well as enhancing our output through the embrace of technology.
We have made great strides with our Digital Transformation Journey, and in 2021 we will launch a new customer portal and app – MyLHP, and a new corporate website.
Our focus is also on what LHP can do to contribute to a more sustainable future. This saw the recent issuing of our ESG Strategy, which aims to create positive environmental and social impacts, with outcomes that benefits our customers, communities, employees and other stakeholders.
Our commitment to being a Customer First company means that our customers are at the forefront of our decision-making.
And it goes without saying we’re proud to be a values-based organisation
