10:11 am, Friday, 28th July 2023 - 9 months ago

General

North East Lincolnshire Council and its delivery partner, Equans, are carrying out verge clearance works on Kiln Lane, between A1173 Kings Road and Kiln Lane Level Crossing.

The work will begin on Monday 7 August and will be completed on Friday 11 August.

The work involves excavation and disposal of a number of layers of silt which have built up on the verges. The verges will be excavated back to the kerb top level and reseeded. The work will be carried out under temporary traffic signals between 7:30am and 6pm.

The work is being undertaken to prepare the site for future topograhical survey and cycle/footway improvement works.

Please be aware that during the work, on-street parking will be temporarily suspended. Please support the contractor by not parking vehicles on the carriageway, footpath or verge, in the works location to ensure a safe working area can be maintained and avoid delaying the works programme, which will result in additional days to complete the works.

Please allow extra time for your journeys and, where possible, please use alternative routes to avoid possible delays.

The council, Equans and contractor Southam Services Ltd would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience and assure you that the work will be completed as quickly and safely as possible.
