Bright new graphics will welcome visitors to Cleethorpes after being installed on the hoardings around the Sea Road development plot ahead of the new tourist season.

Cllr Philip Jackson, leader of the council, said: “We’ve taken the opportunity to not only welcome visitors back to the resort and provide key information for tourists, but also to explain elements of the Masterplan work so people can see what the resort of future might look like.”

The graphics also include directions and locations of key facilities, point out how to get to different parts of the resort, and also include things like beach safety information, information about our wonderful coastline, and snippets of the town’s history.

Hemingway Design, the architects of the Masterplan, were charged with creating the colourful hoarding design, and local companies have been used to do the design work and the specialist print and installation.

The Sea Road development plot has already received planning permission for a statement building, and is being marketed by PPH to try to find a suitable tenant for the upper floors before work begins on its construction.

The cost for the hoardings design, print and installation (£16,000) was funded through the ERDF’s Welcome Back Fund as part of the Government’s response to COVID-19.
