Work to create a new retaining wall in Cleethorpes starts in September

General

From Monday 2 September, for approximately eight weeks, there will be work on site to create a retaining wall between the rear of the current beach safety / resort hub and Pier Gardens.

This is another part of the preliminary works required ahead of the Sea Road building being constructed.

All works are off the main highway, so there should be no impact on traffic in the area. However, there will be hoarding in place for safety in Pier Gardens as these works are undertaken.

Work will be undertaken by JemBuild, a local company, based in Humberston, from 9am to 4pm on weekdays until complete.

The first few weeks of the work will unfortunately be noisy as the bank is excavated. However, the noise levels should drop afterwards for the remainder of the project.

Local businesses and residents have been advised of the works.
