Join us at the next Adult Social Care Recruitment event on 15 June and take that first step towards a new career where you can make a difference every day.

Over the last 18 months, local health and care partners in North East Lincolnshire have been coming together to host recruitment events to support local people who are thinking about a career in care to find out more.

The next of those events will take place at Grimsby Town Hall on 15 June from 10am until 3pm.

Starting a new career can be daunting but our friendly teams will be on hand to give advice, answer any questions people may have and provide insight into what it’s really like to work in adult social care.

There are lots of different roles available within adult social care that are not only incredibly rewarding but can also offer a great deal of flexibility for people who may have young families or other commitments. Many of the providers and companies attending the event are currently recruiting to a range of jobs in North East Lincolnshire and will be available to discuss potential careers in care and current vacancies.

Advisors from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) will also be on hand to answer any questions on employment and benefits and can even help to calculate potential income.

Katie Brown, Director of Adult Social Care for North East Lincolnshire Council explained,

“We are delighted to be holding the next of our recruitment events. So far, the events we have held have been an enormous success and several people who attended have now started their career in care.

“Our care workers do the most amazing work, which is rewarding for themselves and for those they care for. People may not realise that they have the skills and attributes that are ideal for caring for others and these events are great opportunities for us to showcase just what the sector has to offer.

“We also welcome those that may already be working within the sector but may want to develop their career and find out about what opportunities are available to them.

“We hope that anyone who is interested and would like to find out more, will come along to talk to us.”
