More recently Tim was involved in producing the magazine “Riverside”, which led to him becoming a member of the Macaulay Area Action Group. He is the Vice Chair of West Marsh Forward and Dignity Champion for the Fairways Care Home. He also serves as Secretary of Friends of the Freshney.
Tim has a lifelong interest in seaside piers, having written books for Ian Allan, Francis Frith, North East Lincolnshire Council (about Cleethorpes Pier) and the National Piers Society for whom he is their Hon Vice President. He has also written books about local history, most recently “A Short History of Littlecoates School”.
A passionate believer in equality, Tim joined the Labour Party to ensure that the wishes of ordinary people, particularly living in the north, didn’t get forgotten.
