Count
The verification and count of all North East Lincolnshire Council ballot papers will take place at 10pm on Thursday, 2 May 2024 at Grimsby Auditorium/Grimsby Leisure Centre, Cromwell Road, Grimsby.
Entrance to the counting of votes is strictly controlled for security reasons and all passes will need to be collected by Election Agents during normal office hours during 30 April and 1 May 2024.
Absent voters
If you require a Postal Vote for the election on 2 May 2024, the application must be received by the elections team no later than 17 April 2024 at 5pm.
Please note that any Postal Vote applications received before 28 March 2024, these postal votes will be sent first class on 19 April 2024. For Postal Vote applications received between 2 April 2024 and 17 April 2024 at 5pm, these postal votes will not be sent out until around 23 April 2024.
Proxy vote application forms must be received by the election’s office by no later 5pm on 24 April 2024. Please note that if you currently have a postal vote and would prefer a proxy vote instead, your postal vote must be cancelled before 17 April 2024 at 5pm. Your proxy voter must be on the electoral register, able to vote in these elections and will be required to cast your vote at your normal polling station.
Voter Authority Certificates applications must be received by the elections office by no later than 5pm on the 24 April 2024. Please note that if your application is received after this time, it will not be processed until Tuesday 7 May 2024. If you have received confirmation for a Voter Authority Certificate before 5pm 24 April 2024 but have not received your certificate by election day please contact the office on 01472 324160.
