It’s Coming Home! Grimsby tip goes all out for FIFA World Cup

England Shirts, flags and even a home set up to watch the game from – what more could you want from the tip as they get ready for the world cup!

The tip is well known for celebrating various occasions, whether that’s Easter, Christmas or anything in between, the staff are always going above and beyond to make everyone’s visit is one to remember and to raise money for local charities.

To help get everyone in the mood for the World Cup, the team have come up with several ingenious ideas.

Decorations include England shirts of yesteryear being displayed at the entrance, a range of flags and footballs with the main attraction being Grimsby’s very own home set up! With a plush sofa, TV and flags to boot, it’s all set up and ready for the big game!

Grimsby and Immingham CRCs are open from 8am-6pm everyday except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. Both sites are run by North East Lincolnshire Council’s waste management contractor Newlincs Development Ltd.

Grimsby Community Recycling Centre is situated on Estuary Way, Pyewipe Industrial Estate, Grimsby, DN31 2UD and Immingham Community Recycling Centre can be found at Queens Road, Immingham, DN40 1QN.

Councillor Bob Callison, portfolio holder for Environment and Energy Security, added: “The award-winning staff at Grimsby and Immingham tips do a brilliant job and always raise a smile when there’s something to celebrate.

“Anyone who has visited Grimsby and Immingham tips will see the lengths they go to make the site a fun place to recycle things you don’t need.

“There are also plenty of bargains on offer with their bike and bric-a-brac sales, with all the proceeds going to good causes.”
