Franklin College’s Adult Learning provision offers a range of part‑time courses designed for adults at any stage of life – whether they’re considering a career change, preparing to return to work, upskilling for a future role, or thinking about progressing into higher education.

Nick Jennings, Head of Franklin College’s Adult Learning provision, spoke about the sessions:

Councillor Philip Jackson, Leader and Portfolio Holder for Economy, Regeneration, Devolution and Skills, added: “These sessions show what can be achieved when local services and providers work together for the benefit of our communities. By offering Maths and English courses in our Family Hubs, we’re removing barriers and giving more people the chance to learn, grow, and take the next step in their lives.” It’s important we continue working as a team with all the skills providers in North East Lincolnshire through events like this to make people aware of the options available.”

Family Hubs bring a range of services together under one roof, offering a friendly, accessible “one‑stop shop” for parents, carers, and soon‑to‑be parents. They provide extra help and support for families who may face challenges at any stage of a child or young person’s life, with guidance from professionals such as advisers, health visitors, school nurses, and family support services.
