Events, tourism and leisure

We’ve had some fantastic weather recently, and this week is no different. Come and enjoy some fresh air at Riverhead Square, and discover a fantastic range of fresh local produce, tasty foods, handmade goods and unique products from independent traders on Friday 17 July as the popular Farmers and Craft Market returns.

Are you planning a BBQ this weekend? Or have a birthday around the corner and struggling to find the perfect gift? Browse fresh fruit and vegetables, locally produced meats, baked goods, handmade crafts and much more. The market provides an opportunity to meet local producers, learn about the products on offer and enjoy the quality and variety that local businesses bring to the community.

This month we welcome another new trader! Cindy Lou’s Pet Supplies, offering lots of lovely treats for your furry friends.

Also attending the market this month are:

  • Redhill Farm (all things pork, cooked and raw)
  • The Cheese Den (Variety of cheese and dairy products)
  • Campbells Cakery (hot crumble bar, homemade cakes and bakes)
  • Darryl’s Shed (plants)
  • Rushby’s Sweet Treats
  • Carol’s Fruit & Vegetables
  • Nurtured by Nature (handmade vegan scented products)
  • Crystals and Cottontails (Crystals, crystal jewellery & keepsakes)
  • OG Catering Services Ltd – African cuisine
  • Mo Petal Crafts
  • Burnt Offerings Ltd – Hand crafted items

Conveniently located in the Town Centre at Riverhead Square, the market is easily accessible by public transport and there is nearby parking for those travelling by car. It takes place on the third Friday of every month, from 9am to 3pm (subject to weather conditions).

For traders wanting to get involved in future markets, pitches are available for just £24 per day, including a gazebo and table.

Upcoming market dates for rest of the year are:

Friday 21 August
Friday 18 September
