North East Lincolnshire Council is advising residents, businesses and motorists of upcoming overnight road improvement works in Grimsby.
The works will include road patching repairs and the refreshing of existing road markings on:
- A16 Victoria Street South, between Corporation Bridge and Ellis Way
- Market Street, between Victoria Street South and King Edward Street
The programme is scheduled to begin on Monday 9 November 2026 and is expected to be completed by Saturday 14 November 2026.
These works are essential to protect the road for future use, improve road safety and enhance visibility of lanes and junctions.
To allow the works to be carried out safely, temporary overnight road closures will be in place.
For works on A16 Victoria Street South, a Southbound Road closure will be in place between 7pm and midnight, followed by a full road closure in both directions between midnight and 4am.
For works on Market Street a full road closure will be in place between midnight and 4am.
Please note that all dates and times are subject to change at short notice due to weather conditions or operational requirements.
During the works, on-street parking will be suspended within and around the work areas.
Residents and visitors are asked not to park vehicles on the road or footpath within the closure areas while works are taking place. Vehicles left in the works area may cause delays to the programme and could result in additional working days being required.
Pedestrian access to homes and businesses will be maintained at all times.
During the overnight road closures, Stagecoach Service 10 will be diverted via Freeman Street.
Outside of the closure periods, services will operate as normal.
