Motorists are being advised of a series of planned roadworks on Carr Lane in Grimsby during November and December as utility and highway improvement works are carried out.
The first phase of works will be undertaken by Cadent Gas from Monday 2 November until Monday 23 November. During this period, Carr Lane will be closed at the junction of Dugard Road and Runswick Road while Cadent upgrades its gas services and equipment.
Local diversion routes and bus diversions will be in place throughout the works. In addition, multi-way traffic signals will be in operation at the junction of Clee Crescent to enable the essential upgrade works to be completed safely.
From Tuesday 24 November until Monday 7 December, North East Lincolnshire Council will carry out high-friction surfacing and road marking works on Carr Lane between Durban Road and Cooper Road. These works will require a full overnight road closure between 7pm and 4am each night.
These works are being carried out to maintain and enhance the road network, and road users are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra time where necessary.
