Ward funding

Ward funding is intended to support local community initiatives by enabling ward councillors to allocate small grants to projects that benefit residents, enhance community cohesion, and align with the council’s strategic priorities.

All members in the ward sign each application form to say they are in agreement with the funding allocation before the application is submitted to the S151 Officer for approval.

Members follow up each project to ensure that the funding has been used for the purpose for which it was granted and report any issues to the S151 Officer.
