A new scheme to help some small businesses affected by COVID-19 in North East Lincolnshire is now open for applications.

As part of the response to the COVID-19 emergency, Government has announced various grants and loans available to help fund small businesses. The latest is a discretionary fund for local authorities to administer to locally.

This additional fund is aimed at certain small businesses who might have fallen outside of the scope of the previous grant fund scheme.

Businesses who have less than 50 employees, with fixed ongoing property costs, that can demonstrate a significant decrease in income due to Coronavirus, and have not been able to access the previous business grant schemes are being invited to apply to the discretionary scheme.

For further eligibility criteria and information on the evidence required, businesses are advised to read the guidance and frequently asked questions documents published on our website.

Applications will be accepted for a two week period, closing at midnight on Sunday 14 June, at which point all applications will be assessed on merit and grants awarded.

If you think you might be able to apply for this, visit www.nelincs.gov.uk/business-support and find the “Discretionary Grants” section (the FAQs are also on this link).

If you aren’t sure about what measures are available to help your business, or want to talk through options, email [email protected] in the first instance to arrange a call back from one of the advisors. Someone will call you back to discuss your queries, and make sure you find the information and support you need to make the decisions that are best for your business.
