Children will need to be on their best behaviour ahead of a visit to West Marsh Community Centre by a festive visitor in red this December.

Father Christmas will be visiting the community centre for the West Marsh Christmas Fair on Saturday 4 December.

The Fair will host craft stalls and refreshments along with merry cheer, and of course the big man himself will be available for children to put in last-minute present requests (provided they’re not on the naughty list).

The event, which is open to the public from 1pm to 4pm at the community centre on Beeson Street in Grimsby, will also see the switching on of the centre’s Christmas lights, truly marking the start of the festive season.

Neil Barber Centre Manager said: “We’re really excited to be able to confirm that Santa is going to be paying a visit to our Christmas Fair.

“The Fair will be great for children and families in the local community. There will be lots of stalls for people to pick up some Christmas gifts.

“As part of the Safer Streets II project, Humberside Police will be coming along to speak to residents about the area.

“We can’t wait to switch the lights on and get in the festive mood. Come along and join us on 4 December.”
