THE NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

A18 BARTON STREET, C418 MAIN ROAD, C409 (BARNOLDBY LE BECK) AND C413 OLD FARM ROAD (HATCLIFFE)

(TEMPORARY SPEED LIMIT REDUCTION – TTRO 21-150) ORDER 2021

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council have made, an Order, the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle to travel along the below sections of highway at a speed in excess of 40mph:

  • A section of BARTON STREET (A18) – Part length from a point 395 metres north-west of the new roundabout junction with MAIN ROAD (C418), BARNOLDBY LE BECK to a point 606 metres south-east of its new roundabout junction with MAIN ROAD (C418) (108 metres south-east of the junction of OLD FARM ROAD (C413), HATCLIFFE).
  • A section of MAIN ROAD (C418), BARNOLDBY LE BECK – Part length from the centre-point of its new roundabout junction with BARTON STREET (A18) in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 462 metres.
  • A section of OLD FARM ROAD (C413) – Part length from its junction with the A18 BARTON STREET to a point 106 metres south-west of its junction with the A18 BARTON STREET.
  • A section of the C409 – Part length from its junction with the A18 BARTON STREET to a point 141 metres south-west of its junction with the A18 BARTON STREET.

This temporary prohibition is required to ensure the safety of those travelling along the route after substantial changes have been made to the road layout by North East Lincolnshire Council, including the installation of a new roundabout junction.

The Order will come into operation on Friday, 17 December 2021, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for Transport. The temporary speed limit is expected to remain in place until Tuesday, 31 May 2022.

The dates and times above are correct at the point of print however implementation on site may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. Diversion routes will be signposted and published online on One Network and Public notices.
