Supported housing
This page explains the different accommodation options we have under supported housing.
Supported housing describes the tenancies and licences in our properties that come with an asset coach attached. The asset coach delivers our floating support while you are in our property and for some people this can continue once you move on.

Shared housing
Shared housing is for those between 18 and 25 years old. The houses are fully furnished and you will have your own room with a key. All of your bills are included and covers: water, gas & electricity, council tax, internet. If you are in receipt of benefits you will pay a small weekly top up to cover your rent. There is no smoking, pets or children allowed in shared housing.

All of our houses and shared flats are within central Grimsby, housing 2-3 people at any one time.

Flats
Flats are for single people or couples, between 18 and 25 years old, and are subject to affordability checks. In some circumstances we will offer a ground-floor flat to a one or two parent family until the baby is one years old.

There are no moving in fees; the cost of a flat is the weekly rent plus your bills on top. All of our flats are fully decorated and carpeted, and have a cooker, fridge/freezer and washing machine installed.

In our flats we do not allow smoking. If you wish to keep a pet you need to gain permission before your tenancy starts. The majority of our flats are not suitable for pets as they have communal hallways and gardens.

Support can last up to 18 months and beyond, with a maximum time of 2 years. If you are ready to move on sooner, you could have the option of moving to a general needs property when you no longer need the support of a coach.
Family housing
Family housing is for those aged between 16 and 25 years old. If you are under 18 your housing pathway will start with a referral to children’s services.

Our family houses are for one or two parent families that need to find their first home. This could be a one-bedroom flat if you are pregnant or have a new-born, or it could be a 2 bedroom house. We have a small number of 3 bedroom houses suitable for larger families.

There are no moving in fees. All of our properties are fully decorated and carpeted, and have a cooker installed. In our family houses and flats we do not allow smoking. If you wish to keep a pet you need to gain permission before your tenancy starts.

About Us
Lincolnshire Housing Partnership (LHP) manages nearly 12,500 affordable rental and shared ownership homes and offers a range of other services to support people and communities across the historic east coast of Lincolnshire.
As a charitable community based organisation, we channel profit back into services and projects that benefit our customers and local neighbourhoods.

In early-2020 we launched our internal Culture Change Programme, The LHP Way, which means providing engagement and development opportunities, as well as enhancing our output through the embrace of technology.

We have made great strides with our Digital Transformation Journey, and in 2021 we will launch a new customer portal and app – MyLHP, and a new corporate website.

Our focus is also on what LHP can do to contribute to a more sustainable future. This saw the recent issuing of our ESG Strategy, which aims to create positive environmental and social impacts, with outcomes that benefits our customers, communities, employees and other stakeholders.

Our commitment to being a Customer First company means that our customers are at the forefront of our decision-making.

Hanover Housing Association and Anchor Trust merged in November 2018.

As one organisation we’re building on our achievements to do more, at a bigger scale, than we could before.

Coming together gives us greater influence in the communities we serve, influencing care and support locally and working with local authorities, health providers and the voluntary sector. Our experience opens doors, enabling us to be leading partners in Health and Wellbeing Boards and the NHS.

We’re also able to shape national policy and debates about ageing. Our expertise allows us to influence national policies for people in later life. Together, we’re building on our reputations as strong and respected players with politicians, policy makers and the public. We’ll lobby for the best policies for people in later life and work together with key organisations to secure them. Plus, we’ll always ensure that the voices of older people are at the heart of the debate.

More new homes around the country:
As a bigger organisation we can access more investment to build more properties for people in later life than before. Our ambitious development plans include social rented, shared ownership and homes for sale. Through Anchor care homes, we’re also a major provider of residential care.
