Smiles, excitement and plenty of chocolate were on offer as foster children enjoyed a fun‑filled Easter Egg Hunt, made possible by the generosity of local businesses and community organisations.
The annual event, organised for children within the local fostering community, once again provided a memorable day of Easter activities, giving children the chance to celebrate together in a warm and welcoming environment. The success of the day was thanks in large part to donations from local organisations, who kindly provided Easter eggs to ensure every child could take part.
North East Lincolnshire Council’s Fostering Team would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the businesses and organisations who supported the event through their generous donations totalling more than a hundred eggs:
• A P Robinson & Co
• Avant
• Co-Op Funeral Care
• Constellation Cold
• Daisy Homecare
• Forrester Boyd
• G-Tech Electrical
• GI Group
• Office Friends
• Samuel Neal Kitchens
• Scartho Junior School
• Sills & Betteridge
• Stem Accountants
• Swift E-Commerce
Their contributions helped create a truly special Easter experience, bringing joy, laughter and a sense of celebration to foster families.
Director of Children’s Services, Ann-Marie Matson said:
“It was wonderful to attend the Easter egg event and see so many of our foster families spending time together and enjoying the sunshine.
“Events like this are so important in giving families the chance to relax, have fun and feel part of a supportive community. I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the local businesses who so generously donated towards the day, and to Cleethorpes Cricket Club for hosting us and helping to make the event such a success.
Their support really does make a difference for our fostering families.”
Foster Carer Kerry McGrath said: “It was such a lovely, sunny day for it. Seeing the children so excited to take part in the Easter Egg Hunt and getting their eggs was a real joy.”
