Grade 2 listed structure, Corporation Road Bridge, is currently having its main structure, substructure and hand railings grit blasted for spans one to three.
This weekend’s work will take place from 7.30am until 6pm on Saturday 23 September and from 8.30am until 5pm on Sunday 24 September to take advantage of low tides.
Essential clean blasting works have started under the footpath, however, to progress this further another footpath closure is required to ensure the safety of the public and those working on site.
The footpath on the bridge will be closed to all pedestrians and cyclists on Saturday 23 September and Sunday 24 September between 9am and 4pm.
Further short duration footpath closures will be needed as the work progresses and updates on this will be provided in due course. Temporary signs will be erected.
