Corporation Road Bridge update: Footpath closures and weekend working in November 2024

1:37 pm, Monday, 4th November 2024 - 4 weeks ago

General

Works to Grade II listed structure, Corporation Road Bridge, have been progressing. Work to the bridge’s decks is continuing and designs for the lifting span and reinforced concrete deck designs are nearing completion.

To take advantage of anticipated low tide levels, weekend working is required. Footpath closures are also required whilst works are taking place adjacent to public areas to ensure the safety of both the public and the contractor.

Closures of the South Footpath will take place between 9am and 4pm on each date identified below. The footway will remain open during the weekend working dates. Temporary signs will be in place for the footway closures.

North East Lincolnshire Council, its delivery partner, Equans and contractor, Spencer Group, would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the work is being undertaken.

As Corporation Road Bridge is a construction site, it is important that the public respect the access restrictions in place, which have been introduced for safety reasons.  Members of the public are reminded to please stay outside of all encapsulated and other working areas for their own safety, as well as that of those working there.
