General

The Electric Vehicle Charging Strategy submitted by North East Lincolnshire Council’s delivery partner, Equans, has been formally approved by Cabinet.

The approved strategy can be found at www.nelincs.gov.uk/streets-travel-and-parking/electric-vehicles-ev.

The EV strategy will help achieve the borough’s target of reaching carbon net zero by 2050. The strategy forecasts how many chargepoints are needed across the borough and how these will be delivered to meet public demand.

Councillor Stewart Swinburn, Portfolio Holder for Environment and Transport, said “We are one step closer in making North East Lincolnshire a cleaner and greener environment. Making chargepoints easily accessible for people in the borough will encourage people to switch to an electric vehicle.”

How can you get involved?

If you would like to see a public EV charging point somewhere in the borough then please submit your suggestions. Requests are collated to help decide where public charge points are needed the most.

Suggestions can be submitted at my.nelincs.gov.uk/s/flow/Electric_vehicle_charging_location. For those unable to access the form online, please call the customer services team on 01472 326290 option 3 (transport) and the form can be completed over the phone with a customer adviser.
