THE NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(2) ELEANOR STREET, GRIMSBY (PART)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRN 22-083E) EMERGENCY NOTICE 2022
WHEREAS the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 hereby make the following Emergency Notice the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle or other vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway, and no pedestrian shall proceed along the northern footway or carriageway of the below sections of highway:
- ELEANOR STREET, GRIMSBY (PART) – from its junction with B1213 HAINTON AVENUE / FREEMAN STREET to its junction with HENEAGE ROAD.
Alternative route: B1213 FREEMAN STREET, WELLINGTON STREET, HENEAGE ROAD
This emergency prohibition is required in order to safeguard members of the public against the risk of harm posed by a hazardous building / site adjacent to the highway, and enable works to be carried out to make the structure safe.
The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply in the interpretation of the Notice as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
The Notice shall come into operation on Monday, 11 July 2022 and shall continue for a period of 21 days unless extended by Order of the Secretary of State for Transport. The closure is expected to remain in place until Sunday, 31 July 2022.
