THE NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(2) CHAPEL LANE, BARNOLDBY LE BECK

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRN 22-193E) EMERGENCY NOTICE 2023

WHEREAS the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 hereby make the following Emergency Notice the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:

CHAPEL LANE – Part length, from its junction with OLD MAIN ROAD to its junction with CHURCH LANE.

Alternative route: OLD MAIN ROAD, WALTHAM ROAD, CHURCH LANE (reverse route applies)

This emergency prohibition is required to enable O’Connor Group to safely undertake a repair of a fault on a low voltage Northern Powergrid cable within the carriageway.

Access for Emergency Vehicles and refuse collections will be maintained.

The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply in the interpretation of the Notice as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

The Notice shall come into operation on Tuesday, 31 January 2023 and shall continue for a period of 21 days unless extended by Order of the Secretary of State for Transport. The closure is expected to remain in place until Monday, 06 February 2023.
