(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC– TTRO 21-109E)
EMERGENCY NOTICE 2021
WHEREAS the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 hereby make the following Emergency Notice the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle, from PROCEEDING along or STOPPING on the below sections of highway:
- A section of BRAFORD AVENUE – Part Length from its junction with KINGSWAY to its junction with HARDYS ROAD
- Alternative route: KINGSWAY, A1098 QUEENS PARADE, HARDYS ROAD
This emergency prohibition is to maintain public safety during the installation of a new water connection
on or near the above-named road undertaken by Anglian Water.
The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply in the interpretation of the Notice as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
The Notice shall come into operation on Monday, 25 October 2021 and shall continue for a period of 7 days unless extended by Order of the Secretary of State for Transport. The closure is expected to remain in place until Wednesday, 27 October 2021.
Exemptions to the Notice will be for authorised vehicles only, as listed below:
- Liveried Local Authority Vehicles (ENGIE/ NELC)
- Emergency Vehicles (Fire, Police, Ambulance, Coast Guard)
- Authorised Contractors / Utilities / Waste
