North East Lincolnshire Council is advising residents of essential drainage improvement works due to take place on Low Road, Hatcliffe, from Monday 24 August.

The work involves replacing a drainage culvert that carries water beneath the road. The existing pipe has deteriorated over time and can contribute to flooding on the road during periods of heavy rainfall. Replacing it will help improve drainage and reduce the risk of future flooding.

The works will take place on Low Road between The Orchard and Wisteria Lodge and are expected to take approximately five days to complete.

Due to the narrow width of the road and the nature of the work, Low Road will need to be closed for the duration of the project. A signed diversion route will be in place via Beelsby and the A18.

The road closure will remain in place overnight while work is ongoing. Excavations will be left open in the carriageway, making it unsafe to reopen the road outside working hours.

North East Lincolnshire Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank residents and road users for their patience while these important improvements are carried out. Every effort will be made to complete the work as quickly and safely as possible.
