Garden Waste Service

You can now sign up for the 2025/26 garden waste collection service by debit or credit card. The service costs £42 per bin and begins from 24 March 2025.

Garden waste from households is collected and shredded at the NEWLINCS. It is then sent to Kirton Lindsey and Riby to be turned into compost.

You can opt-out of the garden waste service at any time. If you choose to cancel the service after payment no refund will be issued. Using your household rubbish bin for garden waste may result in a missed collection.

Once you have filled in the online opt-out form we will arrange for your bin to be collected.

Crews are given a list of addresses which have paid for the service. You should clearly label the bin with your property number. On your collection day your bin must be outside your property or at the agreed collection point before 7am.

You can set up a direct debit payment for 2025/26 garden waste collection service. This will automatically renew your service each year.

If you are already a garden waste collection customer who pays by direct debit – you don’t have to do anything. You will be automatically renewed for the 2025/26 service.

If you are signing up and do not have a garden waste bin, or you need extra bins, then you need to contact our waste service hotline on 01472 326288.

We review all reported missed collections and if your bins were found to be missed for a reason, crews will not return until your next collection date.

You can report missed collections from 2:30pm until the following midday.

Report a missed collection

If you’re moving within North East Lincolnshire you can keep your garden waste collections by filling in the Garden waste form. You must take your garden waste bin with you to your new property. If you’re moving out of the area you will not receive a full or part refund.

Recycle your real Christmas tree at the tip or chop it up and put it in your garden waste bin if you have one. If your tree has a root-ball and has been watered regularly, you can re-plant it for next year.
