General

Gemma Kirkham, from Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, has created a thriving business that donates 5% of its profits to charities and individuals facing hardship. Her significant contributions to the community, including sponsorship of Grimsby Town Football Club, reflect her humble and grounded nature.

For these reasons, Winner Winner Chicken Dinner was chosen as the winner of the Business in the Community Award at the North East Lincolnshire Civic Awards 2025.

Now it is time to reward another business that contributes significantly to the local community through business practices; that supports local initiatives and demonstrates corporate social responsibility. We are looking for a business that fosters community engagement and economic development.

If you know of a business that reflects these qualities then please nominate them now for the Civic Awards 2026.

You can nominate for each category online via North East Lincolnshire Council’s website. https://www.nelincs.gov.uk/your-council/mayor-and-civic-information/

If you need a paper form, please contact the Civic Office by calling 01472) 324101 or sending an e-mail to [email protected]

Nominations can be made until 5pm on Friday January 31st 2026.  If you submit electronically, they will be received automatically.  Alternatively, you can send via e-mail to [email protected].

Full terms and conditions can be found here https://www.nelincs.gov.uk/your-council/mayor-and-civic-information/
